The beautiful, creamy, rich butter for our biscuits comes from the award winning Abernethy Butter.
Made by hand using traditional methods at their farm in County Down (a few minutes from where our biscuits are made), Abernethy Butter uses cream from a local farmer who pasteurises his own milk.
The cream is churned to separate it into butter and buttermilk, before the butter is washed by hand. A pinch or two of salt is added before it’s hand rolled, ready for wrapping.
After unwrapping, the butter is added to our mixing bowl, producing a soft, buttery biscuit, perfect for one of the most indulgent biscuits available in the world.
